Disable Location Services Pop-Up Notifications (Windows & Chrome)

Disable Location Services Pop-Up Notifications (Windows & Chrome)

Some users may see location request pop-ups even though location access is blocked by policy. These are notifications only and can be safely disabled.

Resolution

1️⃣ Windows (Primary)

  1. Open Settings

  2. Go to Privacy & security → Location

  3. Confirm Location services are Off

  4. Turn OFF:

    • Notify when apps request location

This stops location pop-ups system-wide.

2️⃣ Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome and go to:

    chrome://settings/content/location
  2. Set Don’t allow sites to see your location

  3. Turn OFF:

    • Notify when apps request location
