Setting up the Exhibit Sticker Program in Adobe (Works in Pro AND Reader)

Attached are instructions from our lead Paralegal regarding Exhibit Stickers in Adobe.

Instructions for setting up the Exhibit Sticker program in Adobe (works in Pro AND Reader)

Step 1 Open up your first pdf exhibit

Step 2 To set the preferences for your stickers, click on Tools

Step 3 Click on the Add-ons icon (at the bottom)

This will enable the E-Sticker icon to pop up at the top of your document

Step 4 Click on the E-Sticker icon and the Configure Exhibit Sticker box will open. From here you can customize your exhibit sticker name, color, and set up numbering. If the titles (file names) of your exhibits are D1, D2, D3, etc. then you can select File Name and OK. Note it will automatically use your file name as the exhibit number. This is the best option if you have holes in your exhibit numbers. Go to Step 4a if the titles of your exhibits are not the exhibit number.

Step 4a Click on this icon and the Configure Exhibit Sticker box will open. From here you can customize your exhibit sticker name, color, and set up numbering. If the titles (file names) of your exhibits are not the exhibit number, then under Auto Inc Prefix add the desired prefix (D, for example), select Auto Incrementing, and either Starting Number (1, for example) or Starting Letter, and hit OK. The program will automatically keep track of the next exhibit number to use.

Step 5 To affix the first exhibit sticker, open the Stamp feature, (the one we usually use for Bates stamping) and…..

…select Esticker/All-in-one and the blue defense exhibit sticker.

Step 6 Using your mouse, place the sticker in the desired location on your exhibit and hit save.

To affix the next exhibit sticker, open up your next exhibit, and repeat steps 5-6. These exhibit stickers remain “live” so you can always go back into the document and right click on the sticker to move it around, or even delete it if you need to.
